Context Obert is a project of openness, research, and critical reflection on how contemporary culture is articulated and mediated within the Camp de Tarragona region. It functions as an ongoing process of accompaniment and exploration, seeking to understand the specificities of our local context and how it intersects with a broader metabolism shaped by industry, economy, traditions, infrastructures, and landscape.
In this edition, the project presents a video that gives voice to a being-place — an entity that embodies and weaves together the reflections shared across a series of interviews with artists and curators. These conversations revolve around the idea of place, and around how we support, inhabit, and experience artistic production situated within a specific context.
The piece has been developed in collaboration with the artist Daniel Moreno, and is based on interviews and exchanges with curators Michele Horrigan and Emilie Baldini; artists Ariadna Parreu and Claudia Pagès; and actors Pau Ferran and Bàrbara Roig.
Context Obert is a project developed in collaboration with Mèdol Centre d’Arts Contemporànies de Tarragona.
