BIO – Quim Packard

Quim Packard (Reus, 1985) is an artist, educator, and cultural PRACTITIONER. His practice explores the relationships between culture, ecology, identity, and territory through collaborative projects, installations, performances, and drawing. He has collaborated with institutions such as the Fundació Antoni Tàpies, the CCCB, CA2M, and Askeaton Contemporary Arts (Ireland). His projects combine a critical perspective on the art system (Col·lapsar Millor, La Última Institució) with research into nature and culture (Efecte Vora, Oficina de Relacions Interespecies). He co-directed the cultural space FirePlace together with the artist Angela Palacios in Poblenou (2015–2018) and was Artistic Director of the Visual Arts Department at L’Estruch Sabadell – Fàbrica de Creació (2019). He has also served as coordinator of the Curatorial Studies Master’s program at Le Magasin – Centre National d’Art Contemporain (Grenoble) and as head of the “Nens del Barri” program at MACBA (2017–2019). A Fine Arts lecturer at BAU (Barcelona), where he teaches Art, Activism, Mediation, and Pedagogy, he has lived in the United States, Quebec, France, the Netherlands, New Zealand, and Catalonia, cultivating a translocal perspective that runs through his artistic and educational practice.

Quim Packard (Reus, 1985) és artista, educador i gestor cultural. La seva pràctica explora les relacions entre cultura, ecologia, identitat i territori mitjançant projectes col·laboratius, instal·lacions, performances i dibuixos. Ha col·laborat amb institucions com la Fundació Antoni Tàpies, el CCCB, el CA2M o Askeaton Contemporary Arts (Irlanda). Els seus projectes combinen una mirada crítica sobre el sistema de l’art (Col·lapsar Millor, La Última Institució) amb recerques sobre natura i cultura (Efecte Vora, Oficina de Relacions Interespecies). Ha co-dirigit l’espai cultural FirePlace junt amb l’artista Angela Palacios al Poblenou (2015–2018) i va ser director artístic de l’àrea d’Arts Visuals de l’Estruch Sabadell – Fàbrica de Creació (2019). També ha estat coordinador del màster en comissariat del Centre d’Art Le Magasin (Grenoble) i responsable del programa “Nens del Barri” del MACBA (2017–2019). Professor de Belles Arts a BAU (Barcelona), on imparteix Art, Activisme, Mediació i Pedagogia, ha viscut als Estats Units, el Quebec, França, Holanda, Nova Zelanda i Catalunya, cultivant una mirada translocal que travessa la seva pràctica artística i educativa.
